SANTIAGO.- Liliy Pérez, Secretary General of the RN (National Renovation), declared herself surprised and bothered by the controversy that was generated by her intervention at the party's general council meeting on Saturday, where she showed a sign in which the ex-leader of the Alliance, Joaquín Lavín, appeared next to Transantiago y Lagos along with his concept of "alliance-related bacheletism",  an image that brought whistles of disapproval from the audience and upset the UDI, who interpreted it as an attack on the ex-councilor.

"It upsets me that, because of an ill-meaning version in a newspaper, they come up with a story that doesn't exist", asserted the ex-deputy.

Pérez added that her role was to display respect for the strategic development that the party has had, and that in the sign she pointed out threats, including Transantiago, Ricardo Lagos and "the concept of alliance-related bacheletism".

"So then, what I saw was that the whistles were for Lagos, not for Lavín, Lavín was never even named. I think it is unbelievable that someone would create a story like this", she explained.
