SANTIAGO.- Jorge Urdiales, president of the Mexican soccer team Monterrey, said that Chilean forward Humberto Suazo is a negotiable player, and that in the case of an important offer for the club and the player, he may leave the team. This news is coming right as Suazo is being mentioned as a possible addition to River Plate for next season.
The information has been recorded on the website "Mediotiempo", which adds that the forward from San Antonio signed a long-term contract with the Monterrey club and that, during his first semester, he scored three goals, a modest amount for the man with a reputation for being South America's "fearful gunner".
Regarding the possibility of a possible deal with Suazo, Urdiales stated: "Everything in life is negotiable".
"We brought Rodallega here when he was very young; we brought Gastón Fernández with the idea of making him more successful and, as those before him, also came Danilo Sacramento. There are players that you bring in order to complement the team for a determined period of time and others that you bring in as an investment for a later deal", he said.
