SANTIAGO.- LAN presented its new Business Express class for flights in South America, making it the first company in the region to offer this service on flights from Lima to Quito, Bogotá, Caracas and vise versa.

During 2008, LAN plans to begin the service on the rest of their short-distance flights in South America.

The new Business Express, just as other regional operations on the continent carried out by European companies, will offer service to passengers traveling for business on flights less than four hours long.

This includes a preferential baggage counter as well as check-in through LAN.com, access to the VIP room and priority boarding, de-boarding and baggage claim.

The Airbuses in the A320 family are being redesigned in order to offer an exclusive cabin and service for only 12 passengers in the new Business Express, where they will enjoy more comfort due to 50% more space compared to Tourist class.
