SANTIAGO.- "The truth is that I don't have anything to talk to Francisco Vidal about". This was the response given by UDI president Hernán Larraín after being asked about the possibility of meeting with the new Government spokesperson, as Joaquín Lavín and Pablo Longueira did yesterday.

The meeting, (during which the ex- councilor and senator pledged their support for the minister) in Larraín's opinion, should only be seen as a meeting of camaraderie, since it doesn't represent the party's position regarding the ex-president of the TVN board of directors.

Larraín also warned the Government Secretary General that if he plans "to get involved with the UDI and divide the opposition, he's mistaken".

The senator reminded people that Francisco Vidal called him when he was nominated minister and that even though they agreed to talk "whenever necessary", the only thing he asks of him is "to not repeat the pattern of electoral intervention as when he was minister, because it will forever be remembered".
