SANTIAGO.- 21 days before he is scheduled to leave his position, Supreme Court President Enrique Tapia spoke about his time as the head of the Justice administration in Chile. The judge acknowledged that the family and juvenile courts represent most serious problem that he has had to deal with.

In Tapia's opinion, errors made in these courts have to do with the fact that the system started out with a severe lack of human resources and judges.

He also mentioned the procedural problems that exist within the law regarding these issues.

Concerning the completion of his term on January 6th 2008, Tapia announced during an interview with Cooperativa radio station that he is happy with the labor that he has performed over the last two years, saying "this farewell has been joyful for me".

When asked about his most positive achievement in office, the outgoing president of the highest court emphasized his effort to create more transparency in the work and operations of the Supreme Court.
