SANTIAGO.- "The advantage Colo Colo may have against the University of Concepción is the lineup. We have more players". These are the words of Colo Colo team coach, Claudio Borghi, before the first match of the finals of the Closing tournament, which will be played tomorrow.
The Argentine's statement is one of strength during a difficult time, especially in light of the challenges that face both teams.
The University of Concepción seems to have the greater dilemma. A one-match penalty was confirmed against goalkeeper Federico Elduayen, and players Ricardo Parada and Mauricio Aros will also be benched due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Although Manuel Maciel and Ricardo Viveros are now able to return, it still remains to be seen whether or not they will play.
The outlook for Colo Colo seems a bit more encouraging. Gonzalo Jara and Eduardo Rubio were both given the go-ahead yesterday after recovering from injuries; Rodolfo Moya will also return from his 3-match suspension.
It is not yet decided whether Miguel Riffo and Claudio Bieler will play. The match in the Eighth Region will most likely start off on the defense.
