SANTIAGO. - Tickets are already on sale, the headline performances have been scheduled and the program has been designed. Nevertheless, three spaces on the festival’s docket still hold the phrase “to be confirmed”, awaiting the names of musicians who will perform at this year’s Viña Festival.
Starting today however, there are only 2 spaces left. Organizers have confirmed the participation of Venezuelan singer Franco de Vita as one of the last acts of the summer event.
After an already having developed a budding and successful career in his native country, de Vita made his debut in Chile close to 2 decades ago after releasing his album “Al norte del sur” in 1988, which included South American hits such as, “Te amo” and “Louis”.
After this, de Vita became a regular voice on local radio and television, leading to the success of his album “Extranjero” in 1990. This disc included more of his top hits still popular to this day such as “No hasta”, which won the artist an MTV music award.
