SANTIAGO.- According to information posted on the club website, the Colombian soccer team, "Millionarios de Bogota", has added former University of Chile forward Patricio Galaz to its ranks.
Galaz has been approved to play with the Millionarios for one year. The team, which made it to the South American Cup semi-finals last year, expects Galaz to join the group's practice sessions this week.
Galaz's addition to Millionarios rules out the possibility of his transfer to club Montevideo National, which had been widely reported as a done deal by much of the Uruguayan press. Galaz had also been scouted by the teams Huachipato, Deportes Concepción and Quilmes in Argentina.
The transfer brings the total of Chilean players in the Colombian league up to four, placing Galaz alongside Cesár Henríquez, of América de Cali, as well as Fernando Martel Francisco Arrué – both players for club Atlético Nacional de Medellín.
