Copper continues to rebound, closing with gains at the London Metal Exchange

The red metal closed with a 1.31% jump, taking it to $ 3.21688 U.S. dollars.

LONDON.- Copper closed with a 1.31% increase today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for $ 3.21688 per pound of "grade A", compared to $ 3.17537 U.S. dollars on Wednesday and $ 3.13886 U.S. dollars on Tuesday.


As a result, the monthly and yearly average climbed to $ 3.19711 U.S. dollars.


The future-3-month price ended at $ 3.20690 U.S. dollars per pound, up 1.72% from Wednesday ($ 3.16608 U.S. dollars).


At the LME, stocks decreased by 1,875 metric tons, to 174,300. An overall drop of 23,150 MT (-11.72%) has been accumulated so far this year.
