SANTIAGO.- A new bomb threat has been reported at Chilevisión, prompting employees to be evacuated from the private television station.
The alert came just after 9:30 AM this morning after a phone call made by an individual with a masculine voice was placed to police.
Police Special Operations Officers (GOPE) were dispatched to the scene to check the area. The main entrance to the television station has been closed to keep civilians from entering the premises.
The station had a previous bomb threat made by a phone call last week, which turned out to be a false alarm.
Shortly after the event at Chilevisión, another bomb threat was received, this time at the State Defense Council located at 1687 Agustinas. A portion of the GOPE personnel working at the Chilevisión station was transferred to the scene to survey the building.
