LONDON.- Copper closed with a .24% gain today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for USD$ 3.56569 per pound of 'grade A' material, compared to USD$ 3.55707 on Thursday and USD$ 3.47905 on Wednesday.
As a result, the monthly average was reported to be at USD$ 3.46797, while the yearly average dropped to USD $3.67681.
The future 3 month price ended at USD$ 3.52078 per pound, up 0.22% from Thursday (USD$ 3.51307).
At the LME, stocks rose by 7,275 metric tons, reaching a total of 163,800 MT.
