SANTIAGO.- With a major opportunity to recuperate points against the Universidad de Chile in the Clausura tournament, Colo Colo is scheduled to go up against the Unión Española this afternoon in order to finish off the 75 minutes of the match previously rained out between the two clubs.

Apart from the fact that Colo Colo is currently only three points away from catching up with Universidad de Chile, today's encounter is also charged with another significance.

After coaching the four-time champion club for 24 matches, today the head of Chile's number one team will bid farewell, and ex-forward Marcelo Barticciotto is scheduled to take over as of tomorrow.

Additionally, an important absence will be felt at the Monumental Stadium today following Gonzalo Fierro's departure to Brazil early this morning to begin the medical exams required for entrance to his new club, Flamengo.

For their match against the Unión Española, Colo Colo is disappointed that Rodolfo Moya will not be allowed to play, while Fierro's departure for Brazil has left them scrambling to find a replacement.

Meanwhile, the Unión Española is not in great shape for their match against Colo Colo either. Adding to the irregular performance that has kept them in 15th position within the tournament, there is now an alleged scandal concerning a lack of internal discipline.
