CONFUSAM says no retaliation will be taken against workers who were on strike

The president of the entity, Esteban Maturana, has called on all employees to resume their functions as soon as possible.

SANTIAGO.- The president of the National Confederation of Municipalized Health Workers (CONFUSAM), Esteban Maturana, has confirmed the end of a worker strike that was initiated by the entity and has stated that the Ministry of Health (MINSAL) will not take any kind of retaliatory measures against the employees that participated in the strike.


Maturana claimed that "last night, we signed an agreement with MINSAL, which has brought an end to the demonstrations".


"CONFUSAM is ceasing protest activities and we inform the public that there will not be any kind of reprisal instated against the workers who participated in the activities", Maturana added.


Additionally, Maturana issued a call for all employees to return to their positions and complete their jobs as normal in medical centers throughout the country.
