SANTIAGO.- UDI Deputy Juan Lobos, who is also the president of the Health Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, has stated that “we weren’t able to cut it with Senator Víctor Pérez” while referring to the 320 uniformed HIV cases throughout the country that have been confirmed by the Minister of Health.
The deputy stated that “for 18 years health services throughout the country have been used to pay political favors, allowing people to be hired who don’t actually have the skills needed in management”.
“It is time to professionalize the system and put an end to political favors in order to select only the best candidates to manage the health system for all Chilean citizens”, Lobos added.
The president of the Chamber Health Commission assured that “up until now, the minister has shown promising signs of moving down the right path, but we urgently need to see if his words actually become reality”.
