SANTIAGO.- Radiohead, the Jonas Brothers, Iron Maiden, Gloria Estefan and the monumental Pepsi Fest are jazzing up the live music scene like never before during this first half of the year in Santiago.
Such big names have taken to the stage in the country that it is hard to believe there could ever again be such a stellar line-up. There is one musician, however, whose concert may make second half of the year just as compelling.
Paul Anka, the first artist confirmed for the second half of the year, has a concert scheduled for August 25th at the Movistar Arena. Tickets have gone on sale as of this week, with prices that –while unattractive to many- seem to be inline with the elegance and glamour associated with the singer: the most expensive tickets will go for $220 thousand pesos.
Meanwhile, the cheapest ticket to the show will be a much more accessible $16,500 pesos, but will correspond to only a limited number of seats located in the nosebleed section of the Parque O'Higgins event center, above the "platea alta" seating section. Tickets for the latter section are being sold for $26,400 each. The tickets to the concert can be purchased at Punto Ticket.
