SANTIAGO.- The remains of former Christian Democracy minister Claudio Huepe, who died from a heart attack on Monday while visiting a shopping center in Venezuela, arrived in Chile this morning.
The LAN flight coming from Caracas landed at the Santiago Airport at 5:18 AM with the coffin containing the remains of Huepe. A wake will be held for the former minister today at the former Congreso Nacional building in downtown Santiago.
The General Undersecretary of Government Affairs, Edgardo Riveros, arrived at the airport to receive Huepe's body.
A memorial mass will be held tomorrow at San Ignacio Church and, at 12:30 PM, Huepe's remains will be transferred to Parque del Recuerdo cemetery, where a burial service has been planned.
