SANTIAGO.- La película inspirada en el derrumbe de la mina San José, "Los 33", fue preseleccionada para competir en los próximos premios Oscar, en la categoría Mejor Banda Sonora.
La música de la cinta dirigida por Patrica Riggen fue escrita por el reconocido compositor James Horner, quien falleció en junio pasado en un accidente aéreo.
Horner tuvo una exitosa carrera en Hollywood, con títulos que incluyen "Corazón Valiente" , "Apolo 13", "El informe pelícano" y "Titanic". Por esta última ganó dos Oscar en 1998.
La quina final que aspirará al reconocimiento de La Academia será anunciada el próximo 14 de enero.
