"Motoquero" shot two minors in downtown Santiago

Various types of weapons were seized from a club where the attacker was found.

SANTIAGO.- Two minors were injured after being attacked by an 18 year-old "motoquero" last night in the capital's downtown area.


The assault happened sometime after 22:00 PM near the area of the street Copiapó, when Youssef Derica Cerda left a "motoquero" club and, after an "exchange of words", shot D.I.V.C, 15, and D.F.M.R., 17.


According to the captain of Santiago's "Cuarta Comisaría" police, Roberto Contreras, the shots came from a sawed-off shotgun.


The attacker was arrested on charges of attempted murder, despite denying that he was the offender.


According to information received from Radio Cooperativa, the two minors are currently hospitalized at the ex Posta Central.


Inside the property where the "motoquero" was found, police also seized 12 sawed-off shotguns, an automatic shotgun, a rifle, a .22 caliber handgun, swords, and nooses, in addition to other weapons.


The owner of the business, 28 year old René Orchar Cerda, was also arrested for possession of illegal weapons.
