SANTIAGO.- Copper closed today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) with a 1.21% drop after trading for $2.96649 US dollars per pound of 'grade A', compared to $3.00278 US dollars yesterday and $3.05721 US dollars on Monday.
As a result, the monthly average has fallen to $3.16350 US dollars and the yearly average to $3.25234 US dollars.
The future-3-month price ended at $2.98963 US dollars per pound, down 0.89% from Tuesday ($3.01639 US dollars).
At the LME, stocks increased by 1,255 metric tons, to 188,225. So far this year, an increase of 5,425 MT (+2.97%) has been accumulated.
