Copper continues to recover: It jumped 1.92% at the London Metal Exchange

LONDON.- Copper closed with a 1.92% gain today at the London Metal Exchange (LME), after trading for $3.15519 U.S. dollars per pound of 'grade A', compared to $3.09577 U.S. dollars yesterday and $2.96649 U.S. dollars on Wednesday.


As a result, the monthly average ended at $3.16005 U.S. dollars and the yearly average at $3.25125 U.S. dollars.


The future-3-month price finished at $3.18422 U.S. dollars per pound, up 2.63% from yesterday ($3.10257 U.S. dollars).


At the LME, stocks increased by 600 metric tons, to 189,200. So far this year, an increase of 6,400 MT (+3.50%) has been accumulated.
