Copper continues to recover at the London Metal Exchange

The red metal closed with a 0.90% gain, reaching $ 2.99825 U.S. dollars per pound of 'grade A'.

SANTIAGO.- Copper closed today with a 0.90% increase at the London Metal Exchange (LME), after trading for $2.99825 U.S. dollars per pound of 'grade A', compared to $2.97148 U.S. dollars on Wednesday and $2.94880 U.S. dollars on Tuesday.


As a result, the monthly average shifted to $3.00148 and the yearly average to $3.24706 U.S. dollars.


The future-3-month price ended at $3.02773 U.S. dollars per pound, up 0.91% from Monday ($3.00051 U.S. dollars).


At the LME, stocks decreased by 1,025 metric tons, to 187,750.  So far this year, an overall increase of 4,950 MT (+2,71%) has been accumulated.
