SANTIAGO.- The South Public Attorney's Office is investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday evening at the home of the mayor of Lo Espejo, Carlos Inostroza, which is located on Fernández Albano street in the Santa Olga section of the commune.

According to Inostroza, his daughter realized a robbery was taking place after arriving home from the gym at 7:30 PM.

The perpetrators stole approximately two million pesos worth of possessions including a laptop computer, cameras, video game consoles as well as jewelry, rings and a gold watch.

Inostroza has stated that the criminals kicked open the front gates to the house and that the alarm was not set.

He added that his family believes that the household was being observed, since there is a plaza in front of the residence "where you can see who comes and goes".
