SANTIAGO.- American performer Chris Cornell, satisfied the more than 10 thousand audience members who attended his Chilean debut with a concert that lasted almost three hours, performing the hits that have turned him into an international star after being a member the bands Soundgarden and Audioslave.

Cornell, who is now performing as a solo artist, electrified the Espacio Riesco convention center without resorting to the visual effects and lights used in other mega-concerts that have lit up the marquee this year. Cornell's concert can be described as a complete musical delivery, from the melancholy of grunge and power of hard rock to the sensitivity of his acoustic compositions.

Cornell captivated the mostly male, 90s-generation audience with classic songs from the former band of Soundgarden.

The American also took the opportunity to perform songs from Temple of the Dogs (a contemporary of Cornell that only released one album in 1991), as well as tributes to Led Zeppelin and Michael Jackson.

Cornell said goodbye to his fans by giving away guitar picks and a good dose of the musical genre also delivered by Pearl Jam exactly two years before.
