SANTIAGO.- The president of the Transantiago investigation commission, Patricio Hales, stated today that the group's final conclusion will be decisive and "on par with the disaster" that the plan has caused in the Metropolitan Region.

"It would be unwise to have an inoffensive, comfortable report. What is just and equal is to have a report that corresponds to the harsh nature of the disaster and the gravity of the social consequences that have resulted", he indicated in an interview with radio Agricultura.

The PPD (Party for Democracy) Member of Parliament also assured that Michelle Bachelet's administration would not go unpunished for having implemented the system and that ex President Lagos' responsibility will be clearly established in the report.

"It is not true that the blame weighs heavier on (ex) President Lagos than on President Michelle Bachelet, and when we refer to February 10th, we refer to President Bachelet, because, with all that has gone awry in the matter, starting on February 10th was a monumental mistake", he said.

Hales avoided giving more details about the text, arguing that, due to a request made by the Alliance, it will be kept quiet until the official report is revealed this Thursday.
