LONDON.- Copper closed with its sixth consecutive slump today at the London Metal Exchange after trading for $ 2.88712 U.S. dollars per pound of 'grade A', compared to $ 2.91206 U.S. dollars on Friday and $ 2.94835 U.S. dollars on Thursday.
As a result of today's price, the monthly average has fallen to $ 2.98837 and the yearly average to $ 3.23945 U.S. dollars.
Today's value is the lowest since March 14th of this year, when it traded for $ 2.82135 U.S. dollars.
The future-3-month price ended at $ 2.91252 U.S. dollars per pound, down -0.97% from Friday ($ 2.94109 U.S. dollars).
At the LME, stocks increased by 550 metric tons, to 194,450. So far this year, an overall increase of 11,650 MT (+6.37%) has been accumulated.
