SANTIAGO.- María Gabriela Alvarado, the 21 year old woman who was burned on July 24th of this year by her ex-boyfriend, Carlos Muñoz Cárcamo, is happy to be able to finally sleep next to her daughter, Milagros.
"It was so nice to sleep with my daughter again", stated the woman, who has received temporary custody of the child until February 14th, when a definitive verdict will be made regarding the little girl's future.
During a conversation with Radio Cooperativa, María Gabriela Alvarado recalled details of the attack that she had suffered while she was still pregnant, leaving her with burns on 48% of her body.
The woman said that she had not forgiven Carlos Muños Cárcamo and stated that at the time of the brutal attack, "he felt no mercy for me or his daughter".
Concerning the punishment the man should receive, María Gabriela Alvarado claimed that she only hopes he will receive a just sentence.
Finally, the woman said that she had already begun the process to obtain permanent custody over Milagros and appealed to President Michelle Bachelet to help her find a house to live in with her daughter.
