SANTIAGO.- On their way to the Closing Tournament finals, the University of Concepción always lost the first match and then killed in the second one. “La U de Concepción” was able to pull off some truly incredible plays against Universidad Católica and Audax Italiano. In light of this, the 1-0 match in Colo Colo´s favor did not spawn a massive celebration for the Santiago team.
Even more unsettling for Colo Colo, Concepción made it to Colo Colo´s goal, guarded by Cristián Muñoz, during the last few minutes of the game and came very close to tying up the score.
The University of Concepción could have done even more damage if it hadn´t been for a mistake made by Pablo Pozo, who failed to call a foul in favor of Barticciotto´s team.
Colo Colo dominated the game and kept control of the ball, but Concepción wasn’t thrown off guard. They caused trouble for Colo Colo goalkeeper, Muñoz, with mid-field shots, although the centers were the most dangerous element of the team, headed by Felipe Muñoz and Juan José Ribera.
