Carolina Plaza: Givovich is "shameless"

SANTIAGO.- Maintaining that Isaac Givovich “took advantage of the municipality”, the mayor of Huechuraba, Carolina Plaza, called the son in law of Joaquin Lavín “shameless” for denying the existence of municipal administration (GMA) projects.

During a conversation with Radio Agricultura, the mayor reiterated the existence of the GMA service.  “The first contract was about a technological system, which was used to improve municipal resources.  The second loan was to expand on the service and include technical support”, she stated.

While referring to the participation of Isaac Givovich, Plaza asserted, “that man never advanced within the Municipality to manage information technology”, explaining that someone is only “asked to manage that department” after extensive collaboration on other occasions where optimal results are exhibited.  “The corruption began with Mr. Givovich and it ended when I fired him”, she added.

Concerning the municipal audit that will be performed by the Comptroller’s Office, Mayor Plaza stressed that she was the one who asked for the revision and added, “irregularities are going to be found in any type of audit and if there is some indication of a crime, I am going to pursue it”.
