SANTIAGO.-  This morning, the ex Minister of Justice, Isidro Solís, accompanied the family members of Ana Elizabeth Álvarez and Elizabeth Molina Álvarez –a mother and daughter who were killed as a result of the plane crash in Peñalolén during February of this year— to the Aviation Public Prosecutor’s Office to join the investigation into the case.

“Five months have passed and there is still no report indicating the cause(s) of the accident.  The families want to know the truth, they want to know exactly what went wrong with the plane while it was in flight and why it crashed in an inhabited area”, stated Isidro Solís, who is currently the attorney representing the family.

On February 27th of this year, a Cessna 210 Cenuturión aircraft from the Police Air Club fell from the sky and crashed into a sports field full of people in Peñalolén during a flight test, leaving 13 people dead and 23 people injured.

Solís maintained that the cause of the accident would need to be established before considering a lawsuit, but assured that, if a lawsuit is filed, it will be brought against the State.
