Fierro passes medical exams for Flamengo, his new team

SANTIAGO.- Gonzalo Fierro is currently in Brazil and has passed the medical exams required by his new team, Flamengo.

The ex Colo Colo player will be presented today after meeting with team managers and undergoing the appropriate medical exams. Fierro apparently still has one check-up to complete, but has already signed the team contract.

"He only has one medical exam left to complete this Thursday after Flamengo pays the transfer fees and then we will go to the Chilean consulate to obtain the work visa.  I think he'll be playing for the team in one week, max", stated Fierro's manager, Regis Marques.

Fierro has signed on for four years with Flamego, who reportedly paid Colo Colo approximately 2 million dollars for the transfer.

According to O Globo, "Fierro will be presented only briefly to the public, because he needs to return to Chile on Thursday".
