SANTIAGO.- Last night and only two days before competing again, the new "Entel PCS" yacht, owned by Emilio Cousiño and Bernardo Matte, was presented to the public. The vessel is expected to replace the former "Pisco Sour", which sank in January of this year.

The ship is an identical copy of its predecessor, a 46 foot-long 2004 Event 46 designed by Judel Vrolijk that was built in Italy by the Indiana Yachting shipyard. The yacht is one of only two vessels of its kind in the world.

The former Cousiño and Matte yacht sunk in mid January of this year on its way to participate in the traditional Chiloe Regatta. With the esteemed ship also sank: a third place title in the 2005 King's Cup Regatta, a first place title in the 2006 Chiloe Islands Regatta, a national championship title for the 2006-2007 season, as well as its 210 million-peso price tag.

The new Pisco Sour will debut this weekend, when it is scheduled to participate in a new event for the 2008-2009 National Oceanic Yacht Championship, which will begin this Saturday in Algarrobo.
