SANTIAGO.- According to the Central Bank, Chile's trade surplus registered a 39% inter-annual drop for the month of November, bringing the figure to US$ 684.4 million.
During November, exports fell 19.2% to US$ 4.352 billion, while imports dropped 14% to US$ 3.667 billion.
Between January and November of this year, Chile accumulated a trade surplus of US$ 10.384 billion - which is 58% less than the balance recorded for the same period in 2007.
The Central Bank has stated that between January and November, exports accumulated an increase of 2.1%, bringing the figure to US$ 64.163 billion, while imports rose 34.3% to US 53.779 billion.
