Family of Saba: "The murder investigation is not over"

SANTIAGO.- The spokesperson for the family of Mauricio Saba, Alberto Aleuanlli, has said that despite the fact that the main suspect in the murder of the businessman allegedly committed suicide, the investigation into the case has neither run out of leads nor concluded.

"We will continue on with this. We now need to verify whether this person, Mario Lecaros, who allegedly committed suicide yesterday was indeed the individual that murdered Mauricio", Aleuanlli stated.

The attorney mentioned that both he and the family had found out about Lecaros' death on the news and stated that the investigation will now also need to determine whether the main suspect in the case actually ended his own life.

"We need this investigation to finish and to determine if it was a suicide or a homicide", declared the spokesperson for the family of the slain textile businessman.

According to the latest reports and the way the case has been developing, Aleuanlli said that it would be perfectly reasonable not to rule of the participation of more individuals in Saba's death.
