Unidentified individuals fire at police car in Araucanía

The suspects opened fire against National Police officers as they were carrying out an operation in Padre las Casas.

TEMUCO. -  A police patrol vehicle received two bullet impacts this morning in the Tres Cerros sector of the municipality of Padre las Casas.


The chief of Police for the Ninth Zone, General Cristián Llévenes, stated that the officers were exercising an entrance warrant that had been issued by the Penalty Court of Temuco when they were attacked by unknown individuals in the rural sector.


Llévenes, however, opted to reveal no further information and did not say what kind of investigation the officers had been performing “for safety reasons”.
