Male stripper found guilty of robbing and raping woman in Las Condes

SANTIAGO. -  The Third Oral Court of Santiago has found stripper Yuri Arteaga Cartegena guilty of theft and the rape of a woman in her apartment in the municipality of Las Condes on April 16th 2008.

José Escobar and a 16 year-old boy with the initials J.W.A.V were also found guilty of violent robbery and sexual abuse.  The sentences for the crimes will be issued on January 20th.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office has requested a life prison term for Arteaga, 20 years for Escobar and 8 years for the teenager.

On April 16th of this year, the three individuals entered and apartment in Las Condes to rob the woman, who was later raped by Arteaga while the 16 year-old sexually molested her.

The man stated that, prior to the robbery; he had contacted the victim through a web page where she had allegedly been offering “swinger” services or partner exchange.
