LONDON.- With a drop of 0.62%, Copper closed today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for US$ 1.40886 per pound of 'grade A' material, compared to US$ 1.41770 on Thursday and US$ 1.49459 on Wednesday of this week.
As a result, the monthly and annual averages slipped to US$ 1.46088.
Meanwhile, the future 3-month price quote ended at US$ 1.42882 per pound, down 0.57% from Thursday (US$ 1.43698).
At the LME, stocks increased by 13,850 metric tons to 491,525. So far this year, copper has registered an accumulated increase of 151,750 MT (+44.66%).
