As a result, the monthly average climbed to US$ 1.43937, although the annual average dropped to US$ 1.45901.
Meanwhile, the future 3-month price quote ended at US$ 1.46556 per pound, up 1.48% from Monday (US$ 1.44424).
At the LME, stocks increased by 4,100 metric tons to 495,300. So far this year, there has been an accumulated increase of 155,525 MT (+45.77%).
