Copper closes with a gain for fourth day in a row

The red metal ended the trading day with a 0.92% boost at the London Metal Exchange.

LONDON.– On the rise for the fourth consecutive day, Copper traded for US$ 1.51976 per pound of 'grade A' material today at the London Metal Exchange, compared to US$ 1.50593 on Wednesday and US$ 1.45195 on Tuesday of this week.


As a result, the monthly average rose to US$ 1.47611 and the annual average to US$ 1.46332.


Meanwhile, the future 3-month price quote ended at US$ 1.53813 per pound, up 0.03% from Wednesday (US$ 1.53768).


At the LME, stocks increased by 2,650 metric tons to 499,950. So far this year, copper has registered a cumulative increase of 162,825 MT (+47.92%).
