SANTIAGO.- Gonzalo Cruzat found his son to be doing slightly better this morning. Felipe is 11 years old and is the top priority on the national list for a heart transplant. Felipe came down with a fever yesterday that jeopardized the relative stability of his current state of health; meanwhile, those close to him anxiously await a heart donor.

"He seemed a bit better today, it looks like he may be coming out of this relapse", stated Cruzat to Radio Cooperativa.

The father of the boy insisted that every day the need for the heart transplant becomes more urgent. "We know that we are racing against time, that Felipe is deteriorating. We have been very anguished at times, but have to keep on fighting", he maintained.

Specialists from the Hospital Clínico de la Universidad Católica, where he is currently hospitalized, have stated that the next 48 hours will be crucial in stabilizing his health.
