SANTIAGO.- At 10:00 A.M. this morning, the Audax Italiano team met with their trainer, Argentine Pablo Marini, in order to begin the day of training at the Bicentennial Municipal Stadium of La Florida.
In the midst of the players, one man entered the field without a jersey and stood to the side waiting for Marini: forward Fabián Orellana.
Without reason, the player had failed to attend practice on Friday and didn't show up for Saturday's triumphant game against Palestino.
It is believed that he made his way to the coliseum this morning in order to offer an explanation to his coach, who, after ordering the rest of the team to start jogging, took Orellana to the locker room, presumably to speak with him about his surprise no-show.
At around 10:30 A.M., the National Team player left the premises without making any statements about what had transpired.
Within the "green club", management is currently determining how to sanction the forward for his failure to appear, which could be as simple as a verbal warning or a more serious monetary fine.
The punishment will be issued privately to Orellana, although Audax management may decide to make an announcement with respect to the player's situation on Wednesday.
