SANTIAGO.– 15-year-old Marie Camille Capzorozki remains in critical condition after contracting Hantavirus while camping with her scout group in Conguillío National Park in the Araucania Region.

"She is stable, but under intensive treatment with an extracorporeal circulation machine", stated Guillermo Acuña in an interview with Radio Cooperativa. The physician is the Chief of Infectious Disease treatment at the Clínica Las Condes, where the adolescent is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Marie Camille Capzorozki is hooked up to a blood purification system called Emoc.

Additionally, and as a result of the infection, the young woman's lungs are practically non-functional, which complicates her condition to an even greater extent.

The Alianza Francesa school student has been hospitalized at the Las Condes ICU for three weeks now.
