SANTIAGO.- According to a statement released by Minister of Foreign Affairs Alberto Van Klaveren this morning, a date has still not been set for the repatriation of the bodies of the two young Chileans –22 year-old Nicolás Corp and 23 year-old Racine Balbontín–  who murdered yesterday in the United States.

"There is no time frame (for repatriation) yet. That will depend on forensic investigation authorities", the minister stated while assuring that the government hopes the bodies will be returned to Chile "as soon as possible".

The minister mentioned that the Head of Consuls and Immigration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Juan Eduardo Burgos, is in charge of aiding the families of the victims and indicated that he and his team are "very aware of the need to offer all possible support (…), helping along procedures for those who wish to travel to Pensacola".

Meanwhile, Burgos assured that the department would cooperate in any way necessary with, "assistance that is swift, efficient and constructive so that the remains of the victims can be repatriated".

While referring to the health conditions of the three Chilean nationals that were wounded during the incident, Francisco Cofré reportedly remains in critical condition, while the other two students, Sebastián Arizaga and David Bilboa, are listed in less serious condition.
