SANTIAGO.- The biggest problem for Cobreloa this season has been constant player injuries. Since the beginning of the tournament, Coach Marcelo Trobianni has been unable to depend on a stable player base.

At their crucial match against Universidad Católica this weekend, the team will be unable to count on eight injured players.

Víctor Osorio, Alejandro Osorio, Rodrigo Mannara, Lucas Gauna, Eduardo Vargas, Michael Silva, Paulo Magalhaes and Pablo Mannara, will all be unable to play.

Although it had been hoped that Pablo Mannara and Alejandro Osorio would be able to play at the match against the "cruzados", team doctors finally decided that they were not yet ready to be cleared.

"We did sonograms on Pablo Mannara and Alejandro Osorio and they showed that they have healed one hundred percent. There is a part of the scar tissue however, that has caused Doctor Francisco Muñoz some doubts and he has decided to keep them working with me this week so that they can begin attending normal practices again next week", said the team's physical trainer, Santiago Rojas.

Magalhaes and Osorio may also be in the same situation.

Universidad Católica and Cobreloa are scheduled to face each other this Sunday at 7:00 pm at the San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium.
