SANTIAGO.- At 10:45 am sharp this morning, Prince Charles of England and his wife, Duchess of Cornwall Camila Parker Bowles, arrived at the La Moneda Presidential Palace to meet with President Michelle Bachelet as part of their South American tour, which will focus on environmental and defense matters.

The royal couple was received at the door of La Moneda by the President and received military honors from the presidential guards before entering the government building.

Before arriving at the palace, the heir to the British throne and his wife left a floral offering at the Bernardo O´Higgins monument, located at the Plaza de la Ciudadanía.

In anticipation of their private meeting, the President wore a beige three-piece suit very similar to the one she wore during her recent visit to Cuba. Meanwhile, Camila arrived in a white dress, with a parasol of the same color and a pearl necklace-earring set. The price wore a gray suit with a baby blue dress shirt and blue-toned tie.

After making their way down the red carpet, Carlos and Camila stopped for a moment at the Patio de los Naranjos to greet the press, while the President explained the military honors that they had been received with.
