SANTIAGO.- The official website of FIFA often dedicates articles to players, coaches, clubs and national teams.
This week, it was Uruguay's turn. The nation's soccer team is scheduled to go up against Chile on April 2nd during the World Cup qualifying matches.
The captain of the Chilean national team, Claudio Bravo, was among those interviewed for the page and spoke well of the Uruguayans while remembering his team's match against them in Montevideo during the initial phase.
"We already faced them and they were the ones who came closest to defeating us. It is logical; they have exceptional forwards that are fast and explosive. It is a very dangerous team", stated the Chilean goalkeeper.
The site also includes a statement made by Marcelo Bielsa, who also praised the Uruguayan squad the night before the 2-2 match, stating "the current team for Uruguay is the closest one to Argentina and Brazil. There is a new generation that is coming up and another that still has much to give".
