Real estate companies reach agreement with bank for mass housing sale this weekend

SANTIAGO.- Twelve construction companies and five national banks announced today that an agreement was reached to encourage the massive sale of 53 real estate projects, which account for 13% of the current real estate listings available in the Greater Santiago area.

The special sale, being called "3 días de compra feliz", will be held on Friday the 13th, Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of March, and allows for financial entities to offer up to 100% mortgage credit financing in some cases.

The agreement will allow buyers to choose from the institutions with the most attractive interest rate and benefits, such as making the first credit payment six months later or starting to make payments in January of 2010.

The homes and apartments being offered, which cost from 1,000 UF to 8,000 UF, are located in Maitencillo and in 19 municipalities in Santiago.
