No more spaces available in Santiago Marathon

SANTIAGO.- Another Santiago Marathon will take place on April 5th of this year. The race will be divided into three categories with various routes to allow both professional athletes and the general public to participate.

This year, the organization increased the number of openings in the marathon by four thousand participants more than last year. Nevertheless, the 16 thousand openings available have already been filled.

According to the organization, the available openings ran out far earlier than they had predicted, showing that running continues to become more and more popular.

The Santiago Marathon has three categories, of 10, 21 and 42-kilometer routes. The streets to be used for the race include various main roads in the capital city, such as Américo Vespucio, Avenida Matta and Pocuro. The goal for all categories will be to reach Alameda.
