SANTIAGO.- The melancholy image held by the members of the band Radiohead was shattered last night by four spacey Chilean fans.
The incident took place following the band's concert in Brazil, when the group went out to a restaurant in Ipanema. There, while they were celebrating a successful performance, they befriended some Chilean girls vacationing in Brazil, who offered them tickets to the Radiohead concerts to be held on Thursday and Friday in Santiago.
Lead singer, Thom Yorke, and guitarist Ed O'Brien cracked up while telling the story during an interview that was aired on TVN last night.
"There were four Chilean girls on vacation. I was eating with Colin (Greenwood) and they didn't know we were in the band", O'Brien said.
"They told us they were sad because they had tickets, but had to sell them because they were on vacation, so they offered us the tickets", he continued.
Yorke was unable to contain his own laughter while listening to the story, displaying a happy side of his personality that has never been seen in the famous band's videos.
