SANTIAGO.- Coach José Guillermo Del Solar of the Peruvian National Soccer Team has only one lingering doubt with regards to his squadron's game this Sunday against Chile in Lima.
The trainer reportedly will be waiting until the very last minute to know of Paolo de la Haza, who is currently recovering from an injury, will be able to play.
"We are waiting for Paolo de la Haza to completely recuperate. On Wednesday, the players will hold a practice match and we will see if he is at 100%. We are also going to see how (Johan) Fano is doing with regards to his knee (after suffering a meniscus injury)", stated Peruvian team doctor, Julio Grados.
Meanwhile, Alberto Rodríguez "underwent surgery on his left shoulder due to a dislocation. He already played in Europe, he has a synthetic shield and I feel good about that as well as the tests that have been done on him", stated the physician.
Seventeen of the 22 players summoned by Del Solar participated in yesterday's practice. With the exception of Juan Vargas, who missed his flight and will be arriving early tomorrow morning, the Peruvian team is expected to train with all of its players today.
