CONCEPCIÓN.- A 60 year-old United States citizen is currently being tested for swine flu in Concepción.

The man arrived at a private clinic in the city yesterday and was taken to the Concepción Clinical Hospital, which is the facility in charge of monitoring all suspected cases of the illness.

After undergoing a series of exams, the man tested positive for influenza. Doctors will now have to determine whether or not the virus is the same strain as the swine flu.

Although there has been no official confirmation, reports indicate that the man may already be being treated at the Santiago Hospital del Tórax.

For now, it is unknown whether the man had only been visiting the country, although he is assumed to be a tourist.
